We chose this hotel because it's right in the heart of all things touristy in Hollywood and that's what my trip with my 10-year-old daughter was all about. And it was great because of its location. Our hotel room had a view of the Hollywood sign. more +We walked outside and the Hollywood Walk of Fame was at our feet. El Capitain Theater was across the street, Grauman's Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater and Madame Tussaud's wax museum where all right there. We could catch the hop on hop off bus, tours for the stars homes and took the metro to Universal Studios right outside the hotel. The hotel is also attached to a mall with plenty of restaurant and kid-friendly fast food options, as well as shopping if your kids are into that. The hotel had a lovely buffet breakfast, a pool, spa and staff was friendly.

The only complaint I had was lax security. There's an entrance off the pool area that opens out into the mall and the door was always open with no guards, so anyone could walk in and one day when we were using the pool there were clearly some young people there who didn't belong and a security guard finally showed up and escorted them off.
