Nice Hotel

by eggo87

We only spent one night here, but had a great stay. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with kitchen and living room. Had everything we needed. The rooms were very up-to-date and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast had nice options.

Very friendly and prompt service, quiet and comfortable space in the city

I like the Residence Inn because there are so many consistencies across their properties. This one met almost all of my expectations and had a couple of extras.

The lobby and breakfast area are well maintained, and clean. Coffee was always ready and fresh. There was one young man who was at the front desk during the day who was particularly friendly, cheerful and helpful.

The breakfast buffet offered a similar selection as I seen at other Marriott's. They really should consider mixing it up a little. Other Marriott's offer french toast, or sausage biscuits and gravy or pancakes. This buffet has the standard waffle maker but serves a lot of overcooked scrambled eggs and egg whites.

In the evening they offer weeknight extras that I have seen at some RI's. One night they had clam chowder and a glass of wine. That sort of extra for their weeknight visitors is a pleasant addition.

One thing I missed that is common in other RI's is fresh baked cookies or mini desserts that are generally found near the coffee area between 4 and 6 PM.

The strangest issue I had was with my bathtub. The bottom was sloped inward and it was uncomfortable to stand in to shower. Standing, your ankles are turned in. It may have been a remodel of a tub the was done poorly. I have never had this experience anywhere.

Other, then that, the bed and linens were fresh and clean, the living room and kitchen were also perfectly immaculate. The room was quiet.

Oh - I also used the business center and it is well maintained and functional.
