Rude Front Desk Attendants

by BoardingPass260656

I stayed at Residence Inn Marriott a few weeks ago and the rooms were great - nice, clean and spacious. Housekeeping staff were wonderful throughout. However, the front desk attendants were always very rude and moody (two white girls). I could not understand why the short and negative responses, but they were not very helpful at all throughout our stay. After our first night, I went down to chat with them about tours or recommendations and they informed me they do not offer any and could not recommend anything else. They just told me to look online - which I did do, but I wanted some first-hand Seattle resident recommendations. Second day I asked for more toiletries and instead of handing me more shampoo/conditioner, they questioned whether or not I received some that day from the housekeeper. I said I would not be requesting it if I did not need it (yes the housekeeper did leave some but we shower generally 2 times a day so we ran out). On the final day, my friend asked if she was able to have more tampons (she had been getting a few a day from the front desk since they offered them when she asked if they sold any). The attendant immediately told her, you can buy some from the bathroom in the first floor. My friend referred to her that in the past two day she has been given a few per day and was not told to buy some in the restroom or the market. The attendant then told her, well those are your options only. If she did not want to give her any for free, she could've said it in a friendlier way or simply said they ran out and those were only options, but she did not. The attendant seemed annoyed prior to her asking so something is up at this hotel.

I would not recommend staying here since the people that were supposed to be helpful and offer excellent customer service, were not. I work in customer service for a living and they definitely need to up theirs at this hotel.

A few hiccups but would return

I was promised a view room when booking but they were unable to honor my request when I arrived. I was disappointed but what made up for it was the customer service I received, especially Pam who works the breakfast area. She was truly an ambassador for Marriott Residence Inn and it was wonderful to see her smiling face each morning. I feel like I made a friend by the time I left and will return because of Pam.
