Great service & stay

by analacubana1988

I had the pleasure of visiting Washington DC with my family in September of 2019 for a few days as we enjoyed our days off in the fall. Since we had planned to be out and about exploring the town we decided to use one of the many booking sites to find a decent quality hotel with a low rate on a last minute booking. Of course with something like this you always wonder if the hotel will be good or something you rather not stay in. I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous before I arrived - as we got closer and closer I started to fall in love with the foggy bottom area with its great riverside view and just a relaxing worry free atmosphere displayed in each of their beautiful buildings and homes. In the front of the hotel there is a space for guest to pull up and drop off their luggage or to take advantage of their valet services since there’s no parking lot available on their property for guest . As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a friendly front desk clerk along with a cool water dispenser with fresh lemon. You can tell the main lobby has been recently renovated and it is very well-maintained welcoming you to be seated in any of their sections for all to enjoy a semi private and comfortable time. It truly felt like little living rooms with different chairs, couches and ottomans. As everything else in this world the first thing you see is beautiful to keep you content so who knows what the rest would look like..... Our room was fully equipped with a kitchen including microwave pots and pans and other essentials as we would have at home. This is great for families that will be staying for a while. A basket of goodies including popcorn was perfect for the girls as we played a movie for them while the adults unpacked and relaxed for a few before heading out. In the morning we did not rush to have our continental breakfast I made up my mind that it would probably be the same as always some cereal , a muffin and some juice. I was so wrong and I’m glad I was!! The breakfast here should not be considered continental breakfast for they had fresh strawberries, bananas, brie cheese, Greek yogurt, almond milk, waffles including all of the fixings (whipped cream, chocolate chips, Nutella etc.)
All the other usual breakfast items were provided English muffins bagels toast eggs bacon boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, a variety of juices tea and coffee. What I enjoy the most was the presentation - I was surprise and did not expect for the workers to be so on top of making sure everything was neat clean and enough for everyone to enjoy. A good morning greeting was given to everyone that walked in to the breakfast area as they approach to ask if anything else was needed . The workers in the breakfast area came out often with trays of new food but they also helped older guest children and even those that needed a to go breakfast to take back to their room. Overall we felt safe, whatever area we visited within the hotel was clean, nicely decorated and if we bumped into a staff member we had our questions and or needs taken care of. I would recommend Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC/Foggy for sure and hope to visit soon next time we’re in Washington.

Wonderful for family members. Rooms are very spacious with a lovely outlook and clean. The area is quite. Very close to George Washington university and hospitals. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there. If your family members are with you this is the hotel you should look for
