Overview

This condo resort makes quite a splash with guests. It features both a 10,000-square-foot indoor water park open year-round and an outdoor water park that’s open seasonally — both for guests only. The outdoor park offers an 80-foot water slide (kids must be 36 inches high), a 250-foot lazy river with inner tubes, a Jacuzzi and a water play area for small kids. The indoor park features two “cyclone” tunnel slides (kids must be 36 inches high), a 20-person hot tub and water basketball and volleyball courts, among other treats. You’ll also find an “endless” pool (where you can swim in place against a jet stream). The resort also has a fitness center and game room.

The rental condos range from studios up to three bedrooms, and all feature full kitchens, whirlpool tubs, DVD players and 32-inch flat-panel televisions. Most have washers and dryers and private balconies, as well, and the penthouse units also have gas fireplaces.

Weekend getaway

by RobinR2500

Had a weekend getaway and took our five year old grandson and his friend to Pigeon Forge. I was able to get a king suite with a sofa bed. Perfect size room for the three of us. The boys loved this resort. We have stayed at many hotels and resorts in the area and this by far was the best. We took advantage of the indoor water park and the arcade both nights. The trampoline park is nextdoor and the lady at the front desk have me a coupon for buy one get one free. There are restaurants and shopping all close to the resort. You really wouldn't even have to leave and get on the main road if you didn't want to. This place is very clean and the staff very knowledgeable and attentive. I even had Sally at the front desk go ahead and make us a reservation for next May for our grandson's birthday!

Great for large families!

We love the value that The Resort at Governor's Crossing offers to our large family. It's incredibly hard to find a room large enough to fit us all, especially at a reasonable price that we can afford. The rooms are so spacious and the location is perfect- close to Walmart and Chick-fil-A.
In the past we've had the 2 bedroom suite for 7 of us. This year we tried the 1 bedroom with bunkroom for 6. Both suites have a pull-out couch in the living room. The 1 bedroom/bunkroom only has 1 bathroom, but we made it work, and it was totally worth the lower price.
