Overview

Perched along the Atlantic Ocean, The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale marries traditional luxury with Florida flare. Enchanting rooms and suites feature everything from lavish linens to private balconies. While families can comfortably stay in a standard room, the hotel’s suites offer more space, plus a kitchenette.

All guests enjoy the heated outdoor infinity pool and Poolside Cafe, which serves fruit, salads and gourmet wraps. Additionally, the hotel houses two bars and an Italian restaurant.

Kids love the Pirate Scavenger Hunt, held throughout the hotel daily, as well as Funky Fish, a weekend activity program. Parents, on the other hand, like to play golf or visit the spa for some R&R.

Reviews

Plenty of good, but some bad and ugly

by Pgosule

Stayed at the hotel this past weekend, just a short getaway for my wife and I. Our room (909) was terrific, overlooking the ocean. Big room, huge bathroom, very comfortable bed. My wife and I had terrific massages at the spa as well.

Bad was we had no internet or wifi service for our entire stay. We called down to the front desk Saturday afternoon, they sent someone up to "fix" it, and it still didn't work. On Sunday, when the wifi still did not work, we called down again, someone came up to explain that they had to move the desk (it is bolted down) and replace the router, or whatever was in the room. We left around five to go to Miami for dinner. When we returned at 10, still no wifi. I called down yet again to the front desk and they explained to me that someone came up and it could not be fixed. How does a hotel not have wifi in a room, and how do they not fix it????

For the ugly, my wife and I spent Saturday at the pool. Someone came over to us, very nice, and asked if we wanted to order food. It took well over 30 minutes to deliver a plate of fruit, then a couple of hours later, took almost an hour to deliver a wrap and salad, where the salad was completely wrong.

I was an SPG Platinum member for many years, now a Platinum Elite member with Marriott and have never had any issues, especially at a high end resort like the Ritz. This was crazy...and will give me pause when coming back to Fort Lauderdale.

Sammi made our stay!

by J and M M

This review is long overdue but we had to give a shout out to Sammi on Club Level for making our trip a wonderful and memorable one. She looked after us and took such good care of us that we would go back in a minute! Aside from the club lounge we spent most of our time at the pool and often went to the beach to go swimming given how warm the pool was. Breafast at Burlock Coast was delicious and Sammi hooked us up with reservations at the best restaurants for dinner.
