Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas Reviews
We spent Christmas at the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas Residence Club, which is a building within the resort that only has vacation rentals run by the Ritz. It was better than staying at the hotel - we had a kitchen, living room, dining room,
more +washer/dryer and bedrooms (with HUGE closets ;)). We even ordered pre-arrival fridge stocking so there was food ready to go when we arrived. The washer dryer came in handy too. The Ritz also provides hotel services to the condos, like maid service, room service, concierge, etc. You can have access to water sports equipment for an extra daily fee, so we did that and the kids were able to snorkel which they really enjoyed. We also took the Lady Lynsey, the Ritz's private yacht, island hopping and that was really fun!
The food at the resort was great, and so was the spa. I especially enjoyed my massage in the cabana overlooking the ocean. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to go to the Caribbean. The Ritz St. Thomas is actually the only 5 star resort on the island so it's definitely the best choice.
One thing to take note of, these Residence Club vacation rentals are actually fractionals, like a time share, and are privately owned. You can't rent them directly from the Ritz, so you have to go through an outside rental agency. We found Travel En Vogue (www.travelenvogue.com) and they were great. One choice they presented us with that we didn't go with but sounded great was the 2 bedroom suite. They are a little smaller than a regular 2 bedroom but they include 3 food presentations each day. Perhaps if the husband and I go to St. Thomas by ourselves we would try that but I think with the 3 kids it was a little small and we preferred the extra space.
