The Ritz-Carlton began its legacy with the Ritz-Carlton, Boston, thanks to Cesar Ritz, who was known as the “king of hoteliers and hotelier to kings,” and its continued growth and expansion is thanks to his wife, Marie, who took over after her husband died in 1918. Since then, the Ritz-Carlton has continued to exude excellence and attracts the most worldly and quality guests. There are now a whopping 84 hotels and resorts in major cities in existence in a steep 26 countries worldwide. Known for its exquisite bedding and on-suite bathrooms, the Ritz-Carlton is spreading these luxuries even further with new hotel openings in 2014 and beyond in places both exotic and familiar, including Bali and Rancho Mirage. So book your family’s next vacation today and see what all the fuss has been about for all these years.
The Ritz-Carlton spares no expense when it comes to providing their guests with the most exciting things to do. At the Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, they understand just how important it is to actually spend time with your family while on vacation with them, which is why they provide families with a few exhilarating things to do together during their stay. Looking to engage in some friendly competition? Give a scavenger hunt in the desert a try! The Family Geocaching activity is a family-friendly adventure where guests explore and “scavenge” through the Sonoran Desert to find hidden Geocache boxes. But don’t worry, a GPS unit is provided so you don’t get lost and start seeing mirages! It is $60 for a family of five. There are also 20 miles of hiking trails for guests to delve into and guided jeep tours.
Every Ritz-Carlton location either features or is very close to some awesome dining spots. The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, for example, boasts Eight Burger Bar and Sports Lounge, a perfect spot for the whole family to unwind from the busy day. Kids can play a game of pool while waiting for their “Build Your Own Burger” creations and parents can taste a few local craft beers from Bold City Brewery and Institution while watching a game on one of the bar’s giant flat screen televisions and munching on their sliders. Eight is open Monday through Friday from 4p.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday from noon to midnight.
The Ritz-Carlton has perfected the art of hospitality, especially when it comes to the quality of their guest rooms. They know just how important it is for guests to be able to return from a long day, good or bad, and instantly fall back into relaxation mode with the help of their comfortable and perfectly “homey” rooms. At the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, guests can kick back on their private balcony or terrace and breathe in the fresh, tropical air. Each room also includes a 32-inch high-definition, LCD flat-panel television, high-speed Internet access, a coffee maker with complimentary coffee (oh yeah!), in-room dining from 6a.m. to midnight, daily housekeeping, laundry service, and more.
