We absolutely loved visiting Cancun Mexico, and plan to visit again AND stay in the same hotel. We stayed at Riu Palace and it was GORGEOUS! Very beautiful lobby, helpful staff, well-kept rooms, and tons of things to do. We had a travel agent come more +out there on our first day and she told us about the different activities that we could do in Cancun (including at our own hotel resort). The beach was awesome, beautiful place. Our hotel even offered kayaking, snorkeling, and bike-boats all for free!

Their food is so varied that we didn't even get to visit all of their hotel restaurants. Everyday the food was themed on different countries (Japan, Brazil, France, and more). I believe they have 7 different restaurants on site, and about 3 informal restaurants (buffet style) that were opened 24-7. They had food available day and night, and boy was it delicious!!!

The only negative that I found is that there are not much activities for toddlers and small children. They do have a show every night (kind of like live theatre), and children seemed to enjoy that. Otherwise it seems like this particular place is more geared towards adults and teenagers. Oh yeah, teenagers that were visiting Riu Palace (and there were a lot of them, from all around the world) absolutely loved it! I don't think I heard even 1 person complain about the hotel and it's service, and I talked to a lot of people there. We stayed there 7 nights, and I can't wait to go for 7 more!
