This was our second time staying at the Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort, but our first time to have our 7-yr old with us. As if the beach area weren't enough, the resort has a ton of stuff for kids to do. There is a huge play room with one of those more +tunnel systems, a game room with video games and pool tables, a movie theatre, and a 9-hole mini golf course. For younger kids, there is on-site day care, and for older kids there is a basketball court and tennis court. But our son's favorite spot is the pool area. The pool is huge with plenty of chaise lounges, and there is a splash pad, lazy river complete with "get wet obstacles", and a four- or five-story slide.

Of course, us adults weren't too good to partake of some of the kid-friendly stuff, but we also used the huge spa/hot tub, and while we're not the exercising type, there is an exercise room with sauna, as well as an on-site massage therapist. They also have a slew of planned activities for both kids and adults throughout the week.

Other amenities include an on-site gift/convenience store, and the Ron Jon Surf Grill with full bar, as well as a pool-side tiki bar. There is also concierge service available. We ate at the restaurant for dinner, and the food was not outstanding, but very good, and the prices were not resort-like, but more like a free-standing restaurant.

As for accommodations, we stayed in the studio this time since we were only staying two days, but the first time we stayed in the 1-bedroom, which comes with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and sleeps up to six. The rooms are nicely furnished and decorated, and since the place is only 5 years old, everything looks nice and new.
