A great place to stay in Aguas Calientes.

We only stayed at the Rupa Wasi Lodge. We had one of the upper rooms with a nice view. The beds.... OMG. They are the best beds I've ever slept on and the memory foam pillows were wonderful.
There is a restaurant on the grounds. We couldn't have dinner there that night as they had a group come in and couldn't seat us, but they were able to allow us take-away meals, so we ate in the room, which was find. We did have breakfast the next morning, which was pretty good.
They provided an enclosed oil space heater which also had a fan in it, so this one unit was adequate for the room. The bathroom had no heater and was pretty cold.
We were at Rupa Wasi Lodge during winter (July).
I do recommend this place when you are looking for a place in Aguas Calientes. The beds are amazing after hiking around Machu Picchu all day.
One caution: The Lodge is up a "street" of 64 steps. Then you have an additional 10-12 steps to the registration and another dozen or so to you room. In other words, a hell of a lot of steps made harder with luggage.

Terrible

Would never go back. The pictures I booked were nothing like what I actually got. Below are pictures of my “view” and the bathroom. Yes that’s a garbage bag on the window. Low water pressure coming out of the sink and black stuff that looked like mold. Room was also extremely dark.

I left the room right away and booked something else.
