8403 Highway 151San Antonio, TX 210-647-3600
With a ton of restaurants lining Highway 151 in Hill Country near its resorts and theme parks, choosing one can be difficult. The bellhop at our hotel directed us here for good Tex-Mex that was priced well and included a kids' menu. Happy Hour occurs daily between 2 and 7 p.m., which may sound like a silly notion for families but considering the earlier dinnertime, was a great bet for us. It's a family-style restaurant and the low-priced drinks are just a perk. Go early and enjoy half-priced appetizers -- a special treat on the wallet. All the basics are here: fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, tacos and then some.
