Nice base in San Juan

We stayed for 1 week during winter break. The hotel was very pretty and well located on the main street, near restaurants and the main bus line going into Old San Juan. The pool and beach areas are beautiful. The pool has a shallow level (1.5 more +ft.) for small children and a deeper level (3.5 ft.) with water slide for older children. There's also a swim up bar and a jacuzzi.

Pros: Nice pool area with fountains and water slide to keep the kids entertained. Plentiful breakfast buffet is great if you get a rate that includes breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Cons: The organized kids activities are a short arts & crafts project and some games. You can't drop the kids at a kids club and go do something else. The surf at the beach was really rough and not good for small kids. The pool bar closes at 5pm.
