We found what we thought was an incredible deal on an All-Inclusive vacation resort. All-inclusive provided us the following amenities at one up-front cost:

1) meals (buffet style & 2 'luxury' 3 course menu serviced more +restaurants

2) drinks at every pool & some in between (alcohol in INCLUDED in the price) but they also have other non-alcholic variety's (ask for the Bahama Mama)! This was such a treat as you had food available pretty much anytime you felt a grumble. The whole family to eat together OR separate. A few tweens were cruising the resort grounds as if they owned them and enjoying the food, pools, drinks and atmosphere.

3) Daily room service - cleans up, makes up the beds and restocks the in room fridge/mini-bar (every other day for the fridge-we got drinks at the bars so much that we rarely dug into the in room stash)

4) Kids club from 10a - 5pm. This was a hit for our 7 1/2 yr old. Our 10 yr old went once and then hit the 'tween' scene - hanging at the activities pool. I enjoyed the peace of mind of having some free time for my husband and I to escape from the children but be able to be together as often as we liked as well.

5) Aqua Park - need I say more? My kids are water babies and this was a huge factor in choosing to stay at this location. My almost 11 year old did seem to prefer the main activity pool over the aqua park (too 'kiddie' for her) but when all of us were there she certainly seemed to be enjoying the slides when she was there...

6) Finally, cost. We paid about $700 for 5 nights (part of a promotional offer to view the timeshare. We came out unscathed just over the 90min promise - although we told him up front our answer was NO and told him we were anxious to catch the complimentary 10a shuttle into Playa del Carmen)...

This ended up being such a treat for our family. My husband and I loved that food was available at our convenience - no pre-planing, cooking AND NO clean up! Plus no bed making or picking up after ourselves was truly a vacation from the norm - those of you with kids understand what I mean!! :-)

We also spent time together in their complimentary hydro pool & sauna (adults only). This was a great way for us to reconnect while the kids were at the kids club being looked after.

All-inclusive was a great way to go!
