We had a wonderful time and experience at the Sandos Playacar in Mexico. There were three families in our group(six adults and 7 children). The resort was beautiful and clean. There were many restaurants with wonderful food and a wonderful more +variety of food that pleased everyone. The resort staff was very gracious and always there if you needed them. The staff that was in charge of all the activities kept everyone smiling and having fun throughout the day. We saw wonderful shows every night. They had a club for a teenagers and a game room for our pre-teens and little children. It was an easy going fun vacation. We were able to relax and enjoy everyday without worrying about anything. I would definitely recommend this resort to all families.

Our family (my wife, daughter, and son and myself) took a seven-day all-inclusive vacation trip to sandos resort in playa del carmen, maya reviera, cancun, mexico. We boarded a waiting bus at the outside of the airport in hot humid night and was more +taken to the sandos resort and went straight to our single room after registering in the resort lobby. The room was relatively clean.

Next day we began a seven exciting and enjoyable sun-filled days swimming in the blue sea or in the resort pool, running and walking on a clean sandy beach, sitting on chairs under a canopy sipping at drinks and going for delicious meals at the resort five or more restaurants of different nationalities.

Each night there was some activities: shows, games, sale boothes, etc. On one of those, we rented a car and visited the awe-inspiring mysterious ruin and pyramids of Chichen Itza. The day was very hot but so was the tour. We will never forgot the 7-day experience.

We Love this hotel. We have been here over 4 times and last year was there twice. The food in the buffets are excellent. We never had any bad food in all the weeks we've been there. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant.

We had more +a Hacienda Suite that was beautiful. Our own private pool and hot tub outside of our patio doors. The stretch of beach is a sight to see. It goes on for awhile. Nice for walking and tanning. Playa Del Carmen is just a 5 min ride in a taxi for $7.00. It went up this year. There are Al cart Restaurants but we love the buffets. My husband had steak and fish every night. The taste is to die for. My husband could eat fish everyday.

The drinks are plentiful and good. The shows are very good and if you don't want to go, just sit in the meeting place and have a few drinks and listen to the music. It's well worth the money if you own. To all employees and the Royal Elite people (Carlos) You all are the greatest. Your all like my family.. Thanks

Jan.20 - 27 of 2007 I was fortunate enough to take a trip with my oldest and youngest daughters. I have seven children and their is twenty years difference between the youngest and oldest. We are from Wis. and have cold, depressing and long winters. more +WE chose to go to Mexico in Jan. because that is our coldest month. When we landed in Mexico it was instant warmth and sun. When we arrived at our motel we were welcomed with open arms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We wanted to upgrade and they were willing to do everything they could to help us. We wanted an ocean view and that is what what we received within a very short while. We loved our cozy clean room and our view of the ocean. The food was great and plenty of it and the entertainment at night was so much fun. My teenage daughter had a wonderful time with other teens that were staying staying at the resort. We hated to see our vacation end after a week. We would go back in a heartbeat. We stayed there Jan. 20 - 27, 2007

We stayed at the All-Inclusive Sandos Playacar Beach Resort and Spa for our daughters 7th birthday. We are a family of 5. My wife, and I, along with our 3 children (7, 4, and 2).

The kids did great on the flight, and when we arrived more +we were immediately brought to our a suite that was plenty big enough for all of us. We stayed in the Rivera section of the resort. This is the newest section, and is not beach view, however, the rooms are modern with 2 double beds, a pull out couch, and a sitting area with a big flat screen TV. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub that could fit all of us, as well as a glassed in shower stall, and a counter top with 2 sinks.

There were 4 large pools that wind throughout the Rivera buildings. We had a corner room, with a wrap-around balcony that overlooked the Rivera kids pool, and was very close the the Rivera Blue restaurant.

The rooms also had a mini refrigerator that was stocked every day with water, soda, and cervasas. The food was great at all the buffets, and restaurants. They have multiple restaurants for dinner (steakhouse, brazilian, Japanese, Italian, etc.) Be sure to try all the authentic Mexican dishes. They are great, especially their salsa and guacamole.

The beach area was awesome. Since there was no other resorts to the north of Sandos, you could walk for miles and not see anyone. The kids enjoyed body surfing in the waves, but we always ended in the refreshing pool afterwards. The pools here are amazing as well. Large, clean, and plenty of lounge chairs to sit and relax. The resort is very large, but we enjoyed walking around and taking in the sights. If you don't feel like walking, you can wait for a small shuttle (golf cart) that will bring you to the beach / lobby area.

This resort is only a 5 minute cab ride to Playa del Carmen. Everyone should walk around this town at least once. We took the kids and they enjoyed shopping, and seeing how other people live. Drinks and service was great all week. If you don't like something, just ask and they are more than happy to accommodate you. Tip are not expected, however, they deserve them. In summary, the only thing we would change about this trip, would be the duration. Next year we hope to go back for 2 weeks instead of 1.
