If you are traveling with teens, the Phoenix/Scottsdale area is PERFECT! Whether you're staying at a resort (we've stayed at the Arizona Grand in the past and LOVED the waterpark & golf course) or renting a condo (as we did, this time), this area offers SO MUCH to do! Spring training baseball games are a great way to get up close to the players! Our teenage daughter LOVED that! Renting bikes and biking the Arizona Canal to Tempe Lake Beach is a great way to see so much of the area. Even hiking Papago Park to watch the sun set through the Hole In The Rock is a beautiful spot to stop during the bike ride. Then, there's hiking South Mountain or shopping your way from Old Town Scottsdale to Downtown Scottsdale. Speaking of shopping, Mill Ave. in Tempe is where you'll find everything college and great outdoor cafes. To round out this trip, we toured ASU and really got a feel for how the college students live! If you have time, take in Rawhide for the Old West feel. A 90+ minute trip north to Sedona will give you a chance to slide down a natural water slide at Slide Rock State Park. Or, 2 hours south and you'll be taking a walking tour of the Presidio in Tucson! LOVE THIS AREA for families and teens:) Read More Read Less
