Catskill cool

by hojo15

Everything about this place is chill. Loved the rooms, indoor and outdoor space, amazing food and pool area. The staff is accommodating and helpful. We booked on a Sunday and breakfast was included. Not to be missed! Stayed in June but would love to check out a winter weekend. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

Way overpriced for the lack of service and attention to detail

The people who work here are nice, and the food is good, but that does not compensate for poorly planned rooms, poorly planned menus, and caginess. For example, I had to sit on the bed to put on my makeup because there wasn't an appropriate chair in the room and no desk to sit at besides, no dresser, and no light to see hanging clothes. My elderly father needed a chair to sit in to put on his pants and after three requests they gave up. If they want to charge NYC prices for the rooms they'd better start providing NYC level service and amenities.

Furthermore, we planned a large family dinner (20-25 people). Two thoughts: a) while the food was good, it was not in any way worth what they charged. b) they insisted there was no way to have a cocktail hour outside unless we rented a tent, hired a serving staff, etc. and then the day of we find that there's a deck right off the restaurant. They flat out lied to us about that during the whole planning process. Ostensibly to rope us unsuspectingly to pay even more for the evening?!

Never again.
