Overview

There’s always a long line to check in at Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel- but rarely are there kids amongst the crowd. Instead (and quite obviously), the hotel caters to adults, who visit to enjoy the casino, spa and specialty restaurants.

We don’t recommend Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel for families, but if you choose to visit, you’ll appreciate that the hotel provides an arcade, casual restaurants with kid-pleasing meals and a central location in Niagara Falls, New York.

Room Information

Find the Best Price for Your Stay

The hotel's accommodations aren't glitzy in the way many casino hotel rooms are. Instead, they feature hues of brown and green and are simply decorated and furnished. There are a total of 486 rooms and 86 suites, and most accommodations offer deluxe bathrooms with oversized showers, but none of them offer tubs. Guests have the option to rent a movie on demand; there's also the option to listen to music on your TV. Cribs are available upon request, free of charge. Guests can rent a rollaway bed for a charge of $15 per night. Connecting rooms are available, though they cannot be guaranteed; request in advance of your visit. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Double Queen
The Double Queen is the best option for families, sleeping four to five guests.

Corner Suite
The Corner Suite might accommodate a family of three if someone is willing to sleep on the room's sofa; otherwise, book a Double Queen. The Corner Suite features a separate bedroom with a king bed, and a jetted tub in the area, attracting couples more than families.

Center Suite
The Center Suite is similar to the Corner Suite, except many of the amenities are contained in the private bedroom.

The hotel also has a Standard King room, which sleeps up to two people.

Worse stay ever

by Travelerhelp

Do not stay at this facility. Smoking is allowed in the casino and it permeates to all the floors. We all contracted a respiratory issue while staying there. They also changed all the locks while we were there and although we received notices that this was occuring. They did not give any guest exact times or dates. After returning from a long day at Canada, we were not allowed back in out rooms as they were servicing the doors. The doors were wide open. The one security was rude and condescending. They made it seem like it was our fault and we were inconveniencing them. My children needed to use the bathroom and and we told to return to main lobby to do that. Speaking to the front desk was futile and an utter waste of time. They are clueless as to customer service and only push the casino. Do yourself a favor and stay in Canada if you desire to visit Niagara falls. There people treat you like a person.

I would post a negative star or a black hole if allowed.

Family Activities

Pool
The hotel has an indoor pool, located on the third floor (along with the spa and fitness center). Children need to be accompanied by an adult to use it. Towels are available, but food and drinks are not permitted.

Arcade
The hotel provides a game room just for kids, open 24 hours. Children must be at least 18 years old to access it without an adult. The arcade -- fairly small in size -- offers traditional games.

Family Dining

The Western Door: A Seneca Steakhouse
This restaurant serves high-quality meats, along with seafood and hearty, delicious side dishes like lobster mac and cheese and caramelized mushrooms. It's open 5 to 9:30 p.m., Sunday to Thursday, and 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

La Cascata
Italian food is served at La Cascata, which features favorites such as Spaghetti Classico and Lasagna Bolognese. Expect to also find seafood and steaks on the menu, and leave room for the Hazelnut Ricotta Ravioli. La Cascata is open 5 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 5 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The Noodle Bar at Koi
If you'd like to order food and take it back to your room, try The Noodle Bar at Koi. It serves a limited menu of favorites from Koi, and operates on the same hours.

Three Sisters Café
Three Sisters Café is a good dining choice for families. It's casual, with smoking and non-smoking areas, and offers standard fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner -- sandwiches, salads, burgers and more. It is open 24 hours.

Thunder Falls Buffett
This is another good choice for families, with plenty of kid-pleasers on the restaurant's extensive buffet. It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Quick Bites
Quick Bites sounds like a grab-and-go café, but it's actually a food court, with five restaurants: Dunkin Donuts, Famiglia Pizza, Haagen-Dazs, Ruby's Diner and Soup Man.

Blues Burger Bar
It's all in the name. Expect to find inventive burgers at this casual joint, such as the 5-Alarm Burger or The "Texas Hold 'Em" If You Can Burger. You'll also find subs, salads and a separate menu with small portions --perfect for kids. Blues Burger Bar is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Tim Hortons Cafe
Grab a donut, bagel, pastry or sandwich at this location of the popular chain, based in Canada. The coffee is good, too. It is open 24 hours.

Cold Stone Creamery
Next to Tim Hortons, you'll find another well-known name: Cold Stone Creamery. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a cone, smoothie or shake. It is open 24 hours.

Room Service
Room service is available 24 hours a day, with alcoholic beverages and desserts available (in addition to standard favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner).

The Art of Smart Timing
The Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel bustles with excitement year-round, but is especially busy during the summer months -- prime time to visit Niagara Falls. The hotel regularly offers promotions and packages, so it's easy to save.

Getting There
Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel is about 30 minutes from Buffalo Niagara International Airport, which is serviced by most major airlines. Expect to pay a toll of $1 (both ways). If you need assistance with transportation to and from the airport, contact the concierge.

Getting Around
You don't have to go far to get to Niagara Falls State Park, but it's still best to have a car while you're in town -- especially if you plan to explore area attractions, such as Fort Niagara, Lewiston and the other side of Niagara Falls in Canada.

For Mom and Dad
You certainly don't need to leave the hotel to enjoy some R&R. Head straight for the slot machines, or consider a spa treatment. The Spa offers a wide arrange of services, including massages, wraps, manicures, pedicures and hair services. Afterward, grab a drink at one of the hotel's bars: The Lobby Bar, Club 101, Aces or Keno Bar.
