Overview

Shenandoah Crossing is perfect for families who love the outdoors. The resort sits on 1,000 acres of rolling hillside and green pastures. A huge lake and a horse farm are on the grounds. The hotel itself is a country estate with two- and three-bedroom cabins, chalet-style homes and stylish yurts. Guests can also park their RV is a designated section of the grounds. RV sites and yurts have a touch of class with furnished patios, personal hot tubs and summer kitchens. Luxury yurts contain four-poster beds, flat-screen televisions, lavish bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens. Central air and heating is provided. An open-style yurt features a multi-bedroom layout and a pull-out couch. Shenandoah Crossing offers tent areas for families who want the rustic experience that camping offers. Spacious cabins feature full kitchens, living rooms, furnished patios and flat-screen televisions.

There are a variety of family-friendly activities at Shenandoah, including bonfires, haunted trail walks, crafts and storytelling. A large pool and recreation area is at the Friendship Square pavilion. Beyond this pool, there is an Activity pool, two hot tubs and an interactive mini-water park for kids. Inside the main lodge, a few more pools are for adults and children to enjoy. A game room and arcade with giant chessboard and horseshoe pits are also in Friendship Square. Families can grab a bite to eat at the General Store or Traders Market. Kids enjoy Nickajack Park — a play area for kids accessible by the resort’s shuttle. Sallie’s Stables offer trail, carriage and horseback rides. Many hiking trails are on the resort and live entertainment is held at Liberty Amphitheater. When you’ve had your fun and hunger strikes, the resort hosts Lake Izac Tavern — an American restaurant open for all meals.

Reviews

Beautiful resort with security gated entrance.

Beautiful location near a small community in Virginia. Nice room and the bathroom was well. I did not try their restaurant but I walked around their facility and it appears to be very nice. I walked to the horse barns to see what type riding horses they had. They all looked very well. Attached to Shenandoah mountains which is beautiful at any time of the year. The room was a little noisy I was on the first floor. I had a bit of a weight to checkin and they had no valet parking or bell staff there.

Great for family

Great place, lots to do. Check in took over 20 minutes but still wonderful stay overall. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. Didnt eat any food but the menu was expensive. The grounds were clean and the lake was beautiful
