The hotel's guestrooms feel small, yet they're packed with valuable amenities, such as extra storage space and outlets galore (a rarity at many hotels). They also include coffeemakers, mini-bars, bathrobes and bathrooms with shower/tub combos. Cribs are available upon request and complimentary; rollaway beds are not offered.

Guests of these rooms receive the works: complimentary Wi-Fi and access to the hotel's exclusive Club Level Lounge, where you'll enjoy breakfast, hors d'oeuvres and desserts -- all included in your rate. Club Rooms have one king or two double beds.

Executive Suite
The Executive Suites offer plenty of space for families to spread out, and feature a separate bedroom with a king bed and a living area with a sofa bed. There's also a small dining area and a spacious bathroom with double sinks, and a separate tub and shower.

One-Bedroom Parlor Suite

My wife and I went to NY to celebrate 46 years of marriage. We loved the hotel. The location was great and convenient to all the places we wanted to see. The fitness center was fantastic.the next time we go to NY we will stay at the Sheraton. Thanks for a great weekend

Muhammad Ramzan in the lounge was top notch! Always friendly, eager to help and with a smile. Housekeeper Armenta is super special, too. She's sweet as pie and always does the room up really good!

WiFi only works when it wants to and the phones inside the rooms are cordless, but do not work properly. They won't let you hang up, or use the speaker feature.

Sometimes they turn the lights on in the lounge really bright at night - which ruins any type of ambiance, but REMI next door has a fantastic bar with amazing ambiance.

Family Activities

Packages
The hotel doesn't offer any onsite activities, per se, with the assumption that most families are taking advantage of the city! That's why it offers packages that combine attraction tickets and accommodations. For example, packages have included a Hunger Games Package, with overnight accommodations (plus a room upgrade upon availability), complimentary Wi-Fi, and tickets to The Hunger Games: The Exhibition.

Family Dining

Hudson Market Bistro
The Hudson Market Bistro, located onsite, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a casual setting that's perfect for families. Breakfast includes omelettes and pancakes, while lunch and dinner deliver an extensive menu of salads, sandwiches, brick-oven pizzas and full entrees. There's also a kids' menu with pizza, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese and the like.

Lobby Lounge
The Lobby Lounge is surrounded by plenty of cushy chairs and cozy loungers. Order a drink and some appetizers for the kids. This spot is convenient when you're waiting to check in, or when you're in search of a nightcap.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available at the hotel for a daily fee of $14.95, unless you're staying in a Club Level Room or you're a Starwood Preferred Guest (sign up -- it's free). Wi-Fi is free in the lobby.

Fitness Center
The hotel's gym spans 4,000 square feet and offers cardio machines, free weights and other strength training equipment. It's open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Access is $10 per day, or you can pay $20 to use it throughout your stay.

Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in is at 3 p.m. and check-out is at noon.

The Art of Smart Timing
The hotel is busy year-round, but you can actually find the best rates in the week following Thanksgiving, or in January and February, after all of the holiday events.

Getting There
Opt to fly into John F. Kennedy or Newark International Airports, both located about an hour from the hotel (considering traffic).

Getting Around
Valet parking is available at the hotel for $70 per day, so leave your car and utilize the city's public transportation. There are several subway stops a short walk from the hotel, and Times Square is just 5 blocks away. Central Park is less than a half-mile away, too.

For Mom and Dad
Head downstairs for the Sheraton Select Social Hour, where you'll enjoy $5 wine and craft beer pours.
