I took the kids to Skytop for the weekend and it was great. The game room was a huge hit with the kids and they loved Ping Pong!

The room was a bit small but what is to be expected of such an older, elegant resort. The dance on more +Saturday night was like a throw back to the movie Dirty Dancing. The kids loved how we danced the night away.

Food and wait staff was excellent and really made you feel welcome. If you have some extra money to spare. This is a fun weekend vacation.

We love Skytop. We've been going every winter since our kids were young. An old-fashioned family resort on a beautiful property of hundreds of acres in the Poconos, you'll find plenty of family fun winter activities to choose from. They have a more +skating rink, sledding, tubing, a toboggan run when the lake is frozen (not for the faint hearted!), skiing on property (cross country and downhill) -- great for young kids and beginners.

If there's no snow, you can enjoy walks or hiking on various trails on the property. Food is excellent and there's lots of large round tables for larger families or extended family gatherings. Lunch and breakfast is usually a buffet and dinner is a formal sit down five-course dinner where you're expected to dress up. There is a kids' menu and often there are kids' dinners. Babysitters are also available.

For kids there's a game room with ping pong, pool tables, arcade games, indoor mini golf and an indoor pool. During the day there are plenty of family oriented activities to choose from arts and crafts. Our kids love playing round robin ping pong and bingo night is always a big hit. There's a variety of different room configurations and as it's an older property, and the rooms are not all the same. Ask about the options and which room they would recommend. Some rooms are definitely larger or smaller than others. Plenty of connecting rooms, suites and separate cottages, with up to four different rooms.
