St. Kitts & Nevis Planning & Tips

The Art of Smart Timing
Like many Caribbean locations, high season runs from mid-December to mid-April, low season from mid-June to mid-November and shoulder season from mid-April to mid-June and mid-November to mid-December.

Getting There
Several airlines, such as American, Delta and US Airways, fly into Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport in St. Kitts. Flights are not as easy to catch to these islands, with some airlines only flying in once a day or on certain days of the week. Nevis' Vance W. Amory International Airport is even smaller, and some suggest flying into St. Kitts and hopping one of the many daily, 45-minute ferries to Nevis.

Getting Around
Rental cars are available, and with St. Kitts only 69 miles wide, and an even smaller Nevis, getting lost is tricky. However, the islands are so small, relying on taxis and tour groups is the best way to navigate the islands when you go off resort. St. Kitts' capital and seaport is Basseterre; Nevis's capital is Charlestown.
