Host Young Gang Mom - Apr 28th, 2011
Starhotels Michelangelo was the last hotel on our European journey. We were greeted by kind and courteous staff which quickly showed us to our accommodations. We were in a junior suite with a King and sofa bed. The room was nicely decorated, but more +this was an older hotel, so nothing too elaborate. Plenty of room for the four of us to stretch out and a drawing curtain to separate the main bed from the sofa is you so desired.

Buffet breakfast was lovely and the everything tasted scrumptious. The staff served us quickly so we could be off and on our way to explore Rome each day. They even helped us hail a taxi when needed.

A five minute walk took you directly to St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. The underground transportation was also within a short walk as were plenty of dining establishments. Some of our favorite meals in Europe came t=from this nearby dining.

The Vatican City Museums, when you can tour and see the Sistine Chapel as well and the Vatican itself was a little longer walk from the hotel than we had anticipated, so be sure to give yourself ample time, about 20 minutes by foot.

This hotel is across town from the Colosseum and Roman Forum, but a taxi got us there in about 15 minutes or so. Public transportation returned us in about the same amount of time.
