Overview

The Sundance Resort has 96 guestrooms and suites along with 10 mountain homes, all artfully tucked away in small clusters around the property. There’s nothing cookie cutter-like about this property, so each unit and home are a little different. Because Redford’s goal is to minimize impact on the landscape, some of the units have more steps than others. If you have toddlers or others in your party who might have concerns with steps, ask for accommodations in either the Pines or Mandan cottages. The River Run cabins, while beautifully tucked up against a creek bank, have more steps than others.

Each unit is quite rustic and decorated with many of the items found in the Sundance catalogue. Only the standard rooms do not have fireplaces. The Mountain Loft Suites are fun for kids who may enjoy climbing a ladder to the loft for their bedroom. There’s no additional charge for cribs, but a $15 per night charge for rollaway beds applies.

The spa offers a special “younger set” menu that includes mini-facials and massages. The Sundance Herbal Scrub and Massage is a real treat for adults.

And each night, enjoy a movie at the Screening Room, one of the venues used for the Sundance Film Festival. The selection varies greatly, as Sundance aims to introduce new artists to the public, but many weekends, it will be a Robert Redford film festival.

Great Location, but all else pales

by EricW705

Needs modernization. No international plugs in the rooms, no USB charging points. Staff seem very young to be dealing with luxury guests. There does not seem to be any senior people working at the Resort.... don’t even try and get them to answer/respond to emails before you arrive... this service is non existent. The potential is incredible, but needs love and attention.

Full moon Zipline

by Travelingthing

My husband and I took the zip line Full-moon tour for my birthday. I have never been zip lining at night, so I was excited for the adventure. The whole staff were amazing. From the Check-in, introduction, to the details to getting started, to the final step. They were warm, friendly, and seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. It was a cold night but that didn’t seem to faze them. It was amazing as you push off into the dark... but well worth it.
