Tokyo Disney Attractions

Adventure is key in this part of the park, where kids can take a ride on a Jungle Cruise, climb the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, ride the Western River Railroad, and come face to face with Pirates of the Caribbean.

One of the smaller themed areas of Disneyland is home to the park's water rides. Splash Mountain will take your kids on a winding river cruise, climbing higher and higher until a dramatic, splash-inducing drop. Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes, unique to Tokyo, lets your family explore the water surrounding Tom Sawyer Island by oversized canoe.

Cinderella's Castle reigns above the entrance of Fantasyland, where dreams come true. Kids will find the classics you grew up on: Dumbo the Flying Elephant, It's a Small World, Snow White's Adventure, Peter Pan's Flight and the Haunted Mansion. Alice's Tea Part, Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Pinocchio's Daring Journey are also kid-faves.

Imagine seeing the Seven Seas in one theme park. A visit to this par, separate from Disneyland (think Epcot), provides themed rides and attractions, as well as shops and restaurants with merchandise and food reflecting the areas in each theme. Visit the American Waterfront, Mediterranean Harbor, Lost River Delta, Arabian Coast, and fictitious Mermaid Lagoon (home to the Little Mermaid) and Mysterious Island (home to Captain Nemo).

Remaining true to Disney's original future-themed attraction, Tomorrowland is home to Space Mountain in-the-dark rollercoaster and Grand Circuit Raceway racecars. Bringing the new characters to life, kids will also find Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters and Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek.

The best playground for the younger crowds, Toontown lets toddlers get closer to their favorite characters, like Donald Duck, Chip & Dale, Goofy and Roger Rabbit. But they'll happily wait in line to explore Minnie's & Mickey's Houses because at the end, they'll have the chance to meet Mickey Mouse in person for autographs and photos.

The American West comes to life in Tokyo in Westernland. Tom Sawyer Island Rafts, Mark Twain Riverboats and the Country Bear Theater harkens back to the late 1800s West, and kids will especially not want to miss Big Thunder Mountain rollercoaster.

Tokyo's version of Main Street offers the same small-town charm of 1900s America and features an array of restaurants and shops selling Disney merchandise. Kids may prefer visits to the World Bazaar Confectionery, Toy Station, Magic Shop or Pastry Palace … never mind, they'll love the entire street!
