Quiet. Free parking. Grocery store 2 blocks away. You are up north on north myrtle beach. Not much in walking distance so you need to drive. The beaches are beautiful. But that is weather dependent. Pool area for kids is great.

I am rather disappointed to say that this was a mediocre experience. The trip to Towers on the Grove was booked through Wyndham as a honeymoon get away for myself and my now husband. Upon booking we were told that this resort housed a game room, gym, indoor and outdoor pool, and had continental breakfasts. Unfortunately, these perks were not all "as advertised", but I'll get back to that. When we arrived, we pulled into the loading area of the hotel (directly under the hotel). I got out and went to check in. The lobby was a nice area, very spacious but with very few chairs to sit and wait. When I finally got to the area to check in myself, the receptionist asked for my ID and a credit card to place a $100.00 hold/security deposit. As this is the first time I had been told about a deposit (we booked with points and were told to being just an ID) I questioned her and she got very defensive. Seeing this encounter the manager at the time did come and wave the fee for me. The room itself was a little disappointing in that we were told we would have a 1 bedroom with a king bed yet ended up with two full size beds. I called the desk to ask and was told that even though it is what I requested they only have 15 rooms like that and I could not have one. Being that this was my honeymoon, I wanted to cuddle in bed and be with my husband, but that was made difficult due to the room that we had. We did try and sleep on the pull out couch since that would have been a queen size but the mattress had an obvious blood stain and we chose life over chance. Getting back to all of the fun amenities that the resort should have. There is no game room at all. So that was definitely a massive let down. There was also no breakfast in the morning. I mean hell I would have settled for a honey bun and a juice box but they didnt feel the need to provide anything of the sort for the guests. As for the pool, yes it is there and there is also a lazy river and two jacuzzi/hot tubs. However, nothing is really indoors. Being that the pool did not close until 10 we would still want to go out and swim but it would get cold and at times very uncomfortable. The closest thing to the "indoor" pool was the fact that there was a roof above you head and two walls to the far sides. All in all, we enjoyed being able to escape reality and listen to the waves crashing on the beach at night, but we wish that the resort staff would have put a little more effort into making the stay everything we were promised it would be.
