Overview

The upscale Triada Palm Springs, a part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott, opened in downtown Palm Springs’ Movie Colony District in late 2014. The 56-room hacienda-style hotel features majestic views of the San Jacinto Mountains, a small restaurant called Iluminaria, and two heated pools, one freshwater and one saltwater, with cabanas and a sundeck. The hotel was formerly the Spanish Inn, which welcomed celebrities such as Lana Turner and Elizabeth Taylor.

Quaint Hotel in Palm Springs

by steveK9829TE

We had a lovely stay in this quaint & picturesque hotel in Palm Springs. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were very nice. The bed was super comfortable. There are two pools on the property with a nice bar by the pool. Valet parking only but it’s included in the overnight parking charge. Recommend! Steve Concialdi

Mediocre Hotel

I will start by saying that Natifah out at the pool bar was outstanding. And if it wasn’t for her I would probably struggle to get past two stars in my review. Also Jazmin at the front desk was friendly and attempted to be accommodating.

Beyond that I don’t have all that much good to say. The property has a lot of charm and if it was kept up could be quite nice. But it is getting run down and doesn’t seem to be getting a lot of the maintenance and attention it needs. The towels at the pool had holes in them and were frayed. The pool furnishings should’ve been replaced years ago. Our room had a smell of sewage and while they attempted to correct it for a two night stay we had to move rooms the second day.

As a platinum guest I didn’t feel like we were given all that special treatment. We did get a free credit for breakfast each morning valued at $10. But as another guest commented we waited forever to get any service.

I would love to think that somebody will put some money into this property and it could be nice someday but for now I would hesitate to go back.
