We came to FLORIDA, get away from NJ winter in Jan-Feb. Lovely place to stay. Very nice unit, 1 bedroom, very spacious, new #16 Building. It was partial kitchen, but I did not miss the regular stove. We had 2 burners, and it was fantastic. We more +had a lovely home cooked dinner every single day. Did not miss home made food. Really big Jacuzzi in our bedroom, enjoyed a lot. Flat TV in Living room and Bedroom. We liked this place so much, that we wind up buying 2 bedroom timeshare. Now we can come to this place in winter.

LIGHTS CAMERA Action was our stay on Vancouver Island. The city is gorgeous all lit up like a fairytale. The Marriott is centrally located, allowing you to walk wherever you need to go.We went on a whale watching trip aboard a vessel that was boat more +&inclosed catamaran. Our skipper also does expeditions in Antarctica, so you know we had the greatest shots @ orca pictures.

The Victoria Anthropology museum overlooked the harbor which was fun for the boys to climb the trees, play around the totem poles & then down to the water on the h2otaxi. I enjoyed high tea at the prestigious Fairmont Hotel. Fresh seafood we ate right on the dock at a picnic table. We also enjoyed the old fashion ice cream/cafe @ the harbor. After a full belly we would hike around this beautiful friendly city. My children loved china town, which was in walking distance. Nightly free entertainment @ the grassy open harbor was wonderful. Victoria has a lot to offer.

We enjoyed the family friendliness, activities, pools and lake side. As a family, we enjoyed daily walks to the lake to feed birds, ducks, turtles and fish. We utilized the pools, the hot tub and our balconies. We loved the space with extra bath more +and kitchen area to include washer and dryer usage. We loved the location to the parks, one exit from Disney and 4 exits from Universal. We would have liked to see more events planned for adults and more activities for the kids at a time that we could enjoy both the parks and the resort's options. As a family, we liked the idea that activities were planned for each day and we could go to pool and remain during a meal, since it was being served pool side while enjoying the fun and the water.

There were gas grills on site and could use with a phone call and reserve through the office.

The units came with some clothes detergent, a small bottle of dish soap, shampoo and soap, hair dryer and trash bags with toilet paper and paper towels. It included kitchenware and some plastic ware.

The areas we did not enjoy were in our unit; the master bath light switch had a short and the light would not stay on unless we used the other switch in the room. We were disappointed that the utensils and dishware were very cheap and hard to use. Two of the four eyes on the stove did not work. The dryer did not dry normal cotton things, we had to hang on chairs outside on balcony after we washed. The T.V. remote did not match our T.V., so we have to use the T.V. buttons to operate. We were in the older building, but when checking in, the staff did not volunteer that we were choosing the older side of the resort and that we might want to consider the newer part, since we actually owned one of the newer units.

The older units were actually bigger, not renovated to match new units...but we enjoyed the space, the views and the location. Having separate balconies and separate living units helped our teenagers feel independent from our younger children. The master room and bath helped us "the adults" feel more private and romantic with a large jucuzzi tub and a separate balcony.

We would stay at Vacation Village again and we would recommend the same unit we used "if all repairs were done and better quality was put into the kitchenware". We had a great time, the kids loved the resort and our location was awesome. We chose Universal Studios which were only 4 exits away...but had we chose Disney, it was just once exit away. There were plenty of restaurants, shops and outlet stores, so we never were of need of anything. We even bought groceries and cooked in our unit and there was a grocery store only 1 mile away...

Enjoy your visit...just ask for a building at least number 10 and up to get newer accommodations.

Our holiday was selected off-season so that we could make the most of the parks. November's weather was awesome -t-shirts and capris/shorts. We opted to stay off Disney to have some "down time". We were amazed by the beauty at the resort. more +At no time were we bothered by a time share offer....

I travelled with a friend as my husband had to work. I paid for a 2 unit "room" which was 2 apartments with a shared entryway. The staff were helpful, pools always clean and warm. Some families feel that the hotel hallways can be used as runways for their over-sugared kids, which is reflective of the parents, not the children or hotel. Being it's a holiday, we didn't become negative and that issue was the only downfall.

We loved the ability to drive anywhere closeby -5 minutes to the parks, or to areas to eat. I wish there was a healthier food selection close by... fast food options were a little disappointing and were EVERYWHERE! The perk of this locale is it's a slower pace, kid-friendly, but I would say you NEED a car. But the price was unbeatable for a week = $300!! And we went to Walmart for groceries and carried fruit, crackers, veggies and dips, drinks and even had wine and cheese waiting in our hotel room for our return....all inexpensive. If you want to do Disney, travelling on a budget, this was the way to go.
