Casey's Caboose in Killington is a train-themed family restaurant housed in an actual caboose! The facade itself would be enough to attract the kids, but the restaurant serves pretty good food as well. You'll find burgers, pasta and steak on the menu, as well as salads. There's also a kids' menu. Some might argue this place is a bit pricey for the quality, but it's worth a visit.

Mom and dad will like this one as much as the kids -- Harrison's aims to please more sophisticated palates but children are nonetheless welcome. This is a great place for mom and dad to get a little ambiance without feeling uncomfortable having kids along. Many menu items will appeal to the younger crowd, like lobster mac and cheese, burgers, chicken tenders, and fish and chips.

Picasso's has New York-style pizza in a relaxed atmosphere where kids feel welcome. Their pizza is a favorite among locals (always a good sign), and they offer a kids' menu, outdoor dining, take-out and delivery.

The Farmer's diner is all about local farmers. Your family can feel good knowing your meal is locally grown, as the owners work toward "shortening the road from the farm field to the dinner plate." But this shouldn't scare kids away! The menu includes easy sells like cheese fries, apple cider, hush puppies and grilled cheese.
