ROBINGUIL - Jun 6th, 2010
This was our second stay at the Disney Dolphin -- the first time we stayed in this hotel with 19 members of our family and loved the Disney Dolphin -- of course at that time the hotels Swan and Dolphin were owned by Disney. Now the hotel is owed by more +Starwood and you can truly see the differences. The hotel is gravely understaffed in all areas. One night we came back to our hotel room at 7PM after having been out since 8AM only to find that the room hadn't been cleaned. It doesn't help complaining to the front desk as they will do little to nothing and surely won't display any empathy. Even as we walked by the maids (who were hanging out in the hall way on our floor) they were speaking in another language giggling to one another while watching us walk down the hall --- unprofessional at best.

The restaurants in the hotel are average and are overpriced. The one nice restaurant (the one with the Football theme) has an incompentent wait staff -- we actually were charged for 2 items we never received. This restaurant brags about it's beef but I have to tell you my husband and I both ordered the prime rib and it had so much fat it was unbelievable -- we've eaten prime rib in many other restaurants and never have we had fatty beef like the beef we had in this restaurant.

This hotel has a mandatory "$10.00/day" charge plus $.65/day tax that covers 2 bottles of water, internet service, etc.....even if you don't want this you have to pay for it.

The location of this hotel is excellent but there are other hotels that are actually owned by Disney where the service and location is excellent . If I were to visit Disney again I would choose to stay in a Disney hotel.

Overall, our stay at the Dolphin was disappointing -- I will not stay there ever again and will surely discourage anyone I know from staying there!
