Overview

Part of the boutique collection of hotels operated by Triumph Hotels, the Washington Jefferson is located on a quiet street, steps from Broadway. The property features 158 guest rooms and suites, each with complimentary Wi-Fi. The largest accommodations are Junior Suites, but these rooms do not offer sleeper sofas and only provide one bed (king or queen). Families should instead choose a Deluxe Two Queen room, which sleeps four.

Great Service

by Vadim M

Wow, 5 stars is for the service in this hotel. The site I booked hotel through, listed the room as Standard Single, but since I was traveling alone, I thought it was still a Standard room, based on the actual hotel's site room descriptions. Turns out, it meant Petite room, which is 80 sq ft room, with just enough space for the bed and a toilet. I went downstairs to explain that I was under impression I booked a standard size room not petite. Standard is actually much more expensive. Now the staff could've been unaccomodating, and just tell me I booked wrong type of room, and its not their direct website I booked it through, but they, specifically day manager Jenny, upgraded me to a standard room without a hassle, even moved my luggage while I was in the office. So I always appreciate and respect a great service! So 5 stars for that!

Hotel itself is in great location, either tourist or business, old building, probably a 3 - 3.5 star by New York standards. Even standard room is tiny if you compare to Vegas or LA, but again by NY standards it is standard. Even luxury places here have same size rooms. Basically, as a hotel, it does the job, great location and clean enough, and good enough space. But service wins.

Ill stay here again for sure, unless my budget doubles next time :-)

Not good

by FellowTraveler246122

Thought this hotel would be a good option being so close to Times Square but certainly not worth the money paid, the room is a shoe box, which one can accept except that so is the lift, the walls are paper thin and you need to slam the door to close it (so does everyone else at 5am or 11pm), then if your key card works on the 10th insert u throw a party. Don’t think your phone will charge in the only visible power point search for others. The only good thing is staff are great.
