About Wawona Hotel
A great option for families opting for lodging outside of the Yosemite is the Wawona Hotel, which is located just miles from the park's entrance and close to the park's giant Sequoia forest. Where the Yosemite View Lodge offers basic, clean comfort, the Wawona offers charm from a bygone era with its Victorian design and grand front porch, where guests sit in Adirondack chairs in the evening and sip cocktails. Families may choose rooms with baths, or less expensive rooms that share a common bath. The hotel also offers a "create a suite" option in which families and groups may book a group of adjacent rooms and share a bathroom.
