Welk Resort San Diego features one- and two-bedroom villa suites each with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, private bedrooms and patios or balconies. The resort offers five recreational centers with a kid's interactive splash zone, two waterslides, several family and adult only pools, a game room and lighted tennis courts. The resort offers onsite dining at the Canyon Grille and live shows at the Welk Theatre. Families can also visit local attractions including Legoland, Carlsbad Beach and the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and Balboa Park.

We stayed in the Welk Resort located in Escondido, about 30 mins. from San Diego. It is set against the hills, beautiful property, landscaped grounds.
There are 2 parts to this resort: the Villas on the Green and the Mountain Villas. The Mountain Villas are new/renovated. The Villas on the Green are older, however we didn't see these rooms so not sure ... more +
