Westgate offers an upscale experience for families who want to be within a mile from Disney World. Complimentary transportation is provided to area parks and restaurants. Suites feature sofa beds, kitchens or kitchenettes, dining areas and washer/dryer units. Kids under 18 who stay with parents accrue no extra charge at Westgate. Complimentary cribs are available upon request.
There are 13 outdoor pools and hot tubs, and even a children’s wading pool. A game room and playground are at the resort. Also, kids up to age 12 can participate in the complimentary Kids’ Club. This program runs daily supervised activities and childcare services. Westgate plans activities for adults, too. Bicycle rentals, paddleboats and fishing equipment are some of the fun free offers for families. Swan Lake has a marina and activities center on the grounds.
Onsite dining is available for all meals — just choose from one of the restaurants, poolside cafes or quick-stop eateries.
Additional perks include pet-friendly accommodations for an additional fee of $11 per night, free parking and a fitness center. Check-in is at 4 p.m. and check-outt is at 10 a.m.
