Reviews

Nice stay

by Robert F

I came to this Westin for a business meeting. I had to go to the Sheraton after for another meeting. You can tell the difference between the two. I will strongly recommend the Westin. Very modern, clean and specious rooms. When I switch to the Sheraton I was very disappointed. The rooms are rundown and not that clean.

Outstanding service

by Amy C

Our overall experience was very positive - everyone was professional and kind. I was not feeling well one night while I stayed here and the Food and Service Dept was so helpful. Khin Yee delivered my food and then genuinely went above and beyond in making me laugh a bit as well as getting me extra water and ice. She was an angel just when I needed one - thank you, Khin!

Family Activities

Boston is an extremely family-friendly city; and the Westin Copley is centrally located near a multitude of kid-friendly attractions, including the Freedom Trail, Boston Public Library, trolly tours, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. It's also just half a block from the T, Boston's public train system. Fenway Park is a brisk 15-minute walk.

Upon check in kids will receive a kids' club backpack that includes a fisherman's hat, activity map, crayons and a make your own postcard kit. Younger guests get coloring books and bath toys, and enjoy the story line, a bedtime story service over the phone. During their downtime kids can splash around at the hotel's indoor heated pool.

Moms and dads can take advantage of the Westin's Grettacole Spa which features a full menu of massages, facials, herbal wraps, other healing treatments and salon services. The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness center equipped with stairmasters, treadmills, weight machines, stationary bikes, exercise videos, floor mats, jump ropes and medicine balls.

For those traveling with babies, bottle warmers, spare diapers and wipes, strollers, crib and bedrails are available at no extra charge.

Family Dining

There are five restaurants at the Westin Copley. For burgers, roasted chicken and steaks, try Bar 10. The Turner Fisheries Restaurant & Bar has a raw bar and seafood favorites like clam chowder, oysters, baked scrod and lobster. This is a great choice for families, as kids eat free before 7 p.m.

At Palm Restaurant, a Boston tradition since 1996 with its caricatures of local and national celebrities decorating its walls, families dine on steaks and outrageously large lobsters. The hotel's new Fizz lounge features has champagnes, wines and a small bites menu from smoked salmon lollipops to mini lamb burgers. Sushi fans can hang out in one of the private high-backed booths at the hotel's Osushi bar and sample a selection of traditional sushi and adventurous preparations like TNT maki and Godzilla maki.

With its crystal chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows the Huntington dining room is perfect for breakfast or a late brunch and offers baked breads, a buffet and omelet station.

Most of the restaurants include a children's menu featuring classic kid favorites like macaroni and cheese, crust-less peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and include a coloring or activity game and chocolate milk or lemonade.

Families would do well to take advantage of the eating options at the Copley Mall as well; there is an Au Bon Pain among several other restaurants just a quick sky bridge walk away.

A room service menu including kid-friendly offerings is available 24 hours a day.
