Girls weekend

by paulasR963GV

Staff are so professional and helpful. Great treatments at the spa. I reccomend the peel. Close to some nice shops and restaurants. Restful way to spend time with friends. The gym is really well appointed.

Excellent service

by Badbassdad

I was part of a 200 person summit for which we stayed 4 days. The food, service and hospitality were above excellent. A staff member named Roscio even went way above and beyond to find and provide me a specific beverage that I couldnt find. She was great and deserves recognition.

Thank you

Family Activities

Swimming Pools
The main feature of this desert property is its five-pool oasis. Offering a lagoon-style setting, there are plenty of lounge chairs, as well as two family cabanas available for rent. The cabanas have TVs, refrigerators, bottled water, fresh fruit and privacy curtains. Kids will love the waterslide pool, while adults can rejuvenate in the mineral pool with sea salts from the Dead Sea and a cool, natural 42-degree temperature to help relieve what ails you.

Westin Kids Club
Located near the tennis courts and spa, the Kids Club is available for ages 6 months to 12 years with different rooms for different age groups. Nap space, activity space, arts and crafts space and more are offered in the air-conditioned clubhouse. Kids will leave the clubhouse for supervised activities like scavenger hunts around the property, dive-in movies at the pool and tennis.

The club is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends until 9 p.m. The Kids' Club is not included in your stay and will cost for half-day, full-day and individual activities, including Kids' Nite Out programs that provide parents with freedom for adult-only dinners.

Tennis Courts
The multiple tennis courts at La Paloma are for true tennis lovers. Of the 10 courts available, six are resurfaced hard courts, four are clay and eight are lighted for night play. Lessons are available for kids and adults.

Hiking
The hotel is located near multiple Tucson hiking trails, the closest of which is across the street and called Finger Rocks. The hikes range in difficulty. Concierge can provide trail maps and showcase the right trails to meet your needs. Be watchful of rattlesnakes, scorpions and coyotes.

Golf
This property is a golf resort adjoined with a country club. There are three Jack Nicolaus-design golf courses and 27 holes: a Hill course, a Ridge course and a Canyon course and guests may reserve tee times from the hotel.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
Resort Fee
There is a daily resort fee at the Westin that includes Wi-Fi, newspapers, pool towels, and daily, restocked bottled water.

Pets
The resort is dog-friendly and pets are welcome for an additional fee.

The Art of Smart Timing
Summertime in Tucson brings high temperatures that can reach into the upper 90s even into the 100s. During this time, rattlesnakes are plentiful on the hiking trails. July is typically monsoon season where roads will flood and getting outdoors is difficult. Spring is popular for visitors for the warm days and cool nights, but if you can travel in the fall, you'll have the same weather, less crowds and a smaller chance at rattlesnake encounters as they hibernate in the winter.

Getting There
The Westin La Paloma is about 30 minutes from Tucson International Airport. Tucson is very spread out and you may want a car to explore its hiking trails and national parks.

Getting Around
A shuttle is available within a 3-mile radius to take you to local restaurants and shops, such as La Encantada, an outdoor shopping mall with multiple restaurants and a movie theater. Parking at the resort is free, and valet parking is available.

For Mom and Dad
The Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon & Spa, open to guests of the hotel or anyone in the area, is a full-treatment salon and spa. Get pampered with facials, body treatments, massages, nail treatments, hair and makeup services.
