Excellent hotel; within walking distance to Amalie Center; Amy was so personable at the front desk; gorgeous room; restaurant easily accessible with bar menu and full menu. Valet efficient, even under recent construction in area.

Best bed of my trip but a lot left to improve

I recently visited this Westin. Upon arrival, due to construction and lack of signage- our arrival ( and each approach to the hotel) was busy, confusing and unattractive. Once you figure out your way through the construction and reach the hotel- you go upstairs where a dark lobby awaits you.

The check in staff were friendly and efficient and did a nice job holding our bags until our room was ready.

We were upgraded to a nice room with a Panoramic view of the harbor. Very nice. The hallways and room could use a refresh and feel a bit dingy and old. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were high quality.

Due to the river walk —- there was loud music playing all night. Now, it was a Saturday and this is a festive neighborhood , but to pay for a night’s sleep and have the music ( loud, not subtle) not stop until 1:50 in the morning was too much.

The bed was delightful. The night’s sleep was not. There is lots of room for investment and improvement here.
