Doing It Right

by KassieKehl

The Whaler's Inn is a top-notch establishment. To begin with, the staff is phenomenal. We really wanted to see the draw bridge in action, and a guy from the front desk, so sorry I didn't get his name, went to every extreme to try to find out if it was going to be working the morning we were there. He also gave us personalized information on the town, helping us chose what to do with the short time we had! Our spacious, beautiful room was in the Hoxie House with a view of the drawbridge. The costal decor is so pleasing and every last detail of the decorating is nautical and on point. Our bathroom was grand with a large bathtub. The fireplace(!) is such a nice addition. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion all had a lovely, invigorating scent which even my husband liked! Breakfast is provided at a lovely little restaurant called Grass and Bone. We bought two of their loaves of breakfast bread we liked so much! Delicious. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to all!

Wonderful Stay

We loved the Whaler's Inn! Our room was on the third floor (only stair access) overlooking the harbor and the drawbridge. It was an excellent view. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. It was decorated with a nautical theme and had an old style radio, telephone, and alarm clock. It also had a fireplace and jetted tub. The location was great for walking to area restaurants and shops. The only thing which was lacking was an informational book on the hotel and area.
