Grab a baby sitter at the hotel, and head to this upscale restaurant, featuring the best Pacific Northwest cuisine. Start with the locally farmed beets and mozzarella salad or oysters on the half-shell, and then move on to the miso-glazed sablefish, a BC specialty. You'll have no problem choosing a wine from the vast selection, which includes many great choices from the region.

At Caramba!, located in the Town Plaza, children will savor pizza and macaroni (smothered in three cheeses), while parents can devour the signature dish -- grilled calamari.

If you prefer to sleep in, head to Elements in the village. This popular breakfast joint is known for its selection of frittatas and eggs -- any way you like them, including Benedict. The soup-sized cups of coffee are also a hit.

Located inside the Four Seasons, Fifty Two 80 is named for the vertical drop you can ski on Blackcomb Mountain. In summer, sit outside on the patio, and peer up at the peaks. Then, sample the seared ahi tuna or wild boar prosciutto as appetizers before trying the delectable black cod and rack of lamb for entrees. There's also a kids' menu, featuring burgers, macaroni and cheese and quesadillas.

For $17 (Canadian), you get to head up the mountain an hour before it officially opens, grab breakfast at the Summit Lodge and get two or three good runs in before the masses arrive.
