Don't let the looks fool you!

by d_fradd

The outside looks really nice, room was filthy, full of all kinds of bugs and smelled so bad that we couldn't stay there.
The poor girl that was working front desk could not figure out how to check us out after just checking in.

Good Stay for Wedding Weekend

by mjvinson

My wife and I stayed at the Wild Bear for its proximity to our friends’ wedding we were attending in Sevierville. It was a good deal for a busy fall weekend and kept us from having to deal with the parkway traffic going to and coming from the wedding site.

While it is a Westgate Resort property, it didn’t have a resort feel. It was more like your typical stay at a Days Inn-type property. (Not saying this is a bad thing. Just when I see “resort” I guess I expect a fancier presentation, haha!) The bedroom was pretty minimal, but did have a microwave and fridge. The bathroom and sink area was small and looked like it could use a fresh look. Also, our room was the closest to the highway, so the road noise was evident. Not a huge deal for us, but something to be aware of if booking here.

All that being said, the bed was comfortable and the room suited my wife and I well. In all, it was a comfortable stay and got the job done for our weekend in the Smokies.
