No, this isn't that Woodstock. If you're looking for the town that hosted the famous music festival, it's actually in the Town of Bethel, New York (close to a town called Woodstock). But if your family is seeking to visit one of those cute, charming towns in New England, Woodstock, Vermont is your match.

Many people travel to Woodstock, Vermont for the famously charming Woodstock Inn & Resort, whether it's for a short weekend getaway, family event, or chance to dine at its restaurants (one of which has received an AAA-Four Diamond Award).
The hotel was actually built by the Rockefellers, who also helped preserve much of the town, including also famous Billings Farm.

Among the other highlights of a trip to Woodstock are the Woodstock Town Crier, the downtown area with shops and cafes; and Suicide Six Ski Area, the perfect ski resort for families. Woodstock is also close to another ski resort you may know: Killington.

There's no shortage of opportunities to walk, hike and simply explore in Woodstock, either, with the Ottaquechee River as the town's scenic backdrop. And the local cuisine is equally worthy of a visit (as is the case for all of Vermont), with aged cheeses, maple syrup, and other locally sourced, feel-good ingredients on just about every restaurant menu.
