Pigeon Forge and Smokey Mountains

by Linda K

This area is a great location for visiting Pigeon Forge, Seiverville, Gatlinburg. Close to amenties, shopping, national parks, restaurants. Very scenic area. Was amazed at the traffic for the beginning of November.

Wyndham sucks.

Still beating up travelers with their high pressure sales pitches. We had already paid for points from a senior owner and they hounded us the minute we arrived. Rooms are supposed to be ready no later than rPM. We got ours around 6. We received a below ground room with a view of a ditch which was at a higher elevation than our room. I am sure we got this room because my wife refused to spend any of our time there listening to their 90 plus minute sales presentation. I am sure that rooms were ready at 4 but they won't give them out until they see if you play ball. As for the rooms, they were neat and tidy with a nice but very small kitchen. There is ample parking, probably because the word is out about Wyndham and their tactics by now.
