Overview

Zoder’s is a family-run inn that’s a favorite among families who return to the Smokies year after year. The kids will love meeting Caesar, the inn’s Amazon parrot, who lives in the lobby. Although the inn is located on the major road running through downtown, it sits along a mountain stream (many rooms have balconies that hang out over the stream, in fact), so it has an out-of-the-fray feel to it. It’s well within walking distance of most of the town’s family-friendly attractions and restaurants, and the Gatlinburg trolley conveniently stops right next to the inn.

Zoder’s has an indoor heated pool (with a manmade waterfall) as well as an outdoor pool that’s open seasonally. There’s an exercise and weight room, as well as racquetball courts (courts available for an additional fee). Guests often have their own barbeques on the outdoor grills in the picnic area or at least toast marshmallows around the outdoor fireplace. All rooms have refrigerators.

Like many local hotels, this inn offers complementary continental breakfast, but Zoder’s goes the extra mile by also providing a complementary manager’s wine and cheese reception (with kid-friendly snack options) each afternoon and cookies and milk each evening.

Little piece of paradise!

by K1862IGamyk

Zoder's is such a unique hotel and unlike any other we have stayed at before. The creek running under our balcony was amazing and sleeping to the sound of it at night was heavenly. It looks just as quaint as the pictures! The hotel is on the edge of town so was out of the hustle and bustle of the rest of Gatlinburg which we enjoyed. Gatlinburg is a very walkable town and we didn't use our car once during our two day visit. There is a coaster ride next door but they close at 10 and we couldn't hear it from our room (our room number was 227) however rooms closer to the coaster may be more noisy? We did the coaster ride at night and it was super fun!

What a great place to stay

This motel was the best. We had high expectations, because the photos were so quaint. The small stream really did tumble right under our balcony. We could have sat there all day, but we really came to see Gatlinburg, so off we went. You can actually walk Gatlinburg from here (we did with me on crutches.) Speaking of which, when we checked in late in the evening, the front desk clerk was so kind and friendly. He was very helpful to my friends, since being on crutches I was unable to carry much to the room. They provided a golf cart ride for me to get to the breakfast each day. The rooms are very clean, and really opened to the small stream. Even though we were right off the parkway, we did not hear the traffic. The breakfast was adequate, limited offering, but really it was fine. They have a lovely indoor pool and hot tub, also with a view of the small stream. Every member of the staff that we had interactions were helpful, and kind. We would definitely stay here again.
