Transitioning over to Marriott

by nicbm

Stayed there this weekend. It was okay but not that clean. I think that it’ll be better once it becomes a full Marriott. I did appreciate the location. I absolutely love Marriott. I’m glad they bought them out.

Good night's sleep

We stopped in for the night on our road trip to Florida. Received a nice welcome from the staff. They offered us free breakfast as they couldn't give us an upgrade (as a Marriott Gold member). Had a room on the top floor, away from the elevator as requested. Nicely appointed - everything clean, no damage and in working order. Clean, crisp sheets. We're not fans of duvets and wish hotels would put a blanket on beds as another option. The breakfast was typical of the ones you get at any hotel that offers breakfast free with a room stay. Nothing special and we're happy we didn't have to pay the $12 each. Perfectly adequate food which included nice hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits and oatmeal. Remember to ask for discount coupons for local restaurants. They have them which we discovered once we came back from dinner - not offered up front.
