Great Location but.......

by Nigel L

This is a perfectly situated hotel for views of the volcano but it is out of town so all activity options require transport.

Our room was dark with poor lighting and there was inadequate bedding.

Food very good although the menu was limited. One open air bar would be fine in dry weather but there was a lot of rain.

Staff generally good although language a slight barrier with a number of them.

View of the volcano

I was successful and saw the very top of the volcano during my stay. I was told that seeing the top is a special experience as much of the time it is shrouded in fog. This is a unique concept hotel in that it is not big building with rooms crammed into it but a collection of bungalow type cabins spaced comfortably apart on the property. Most have a small, covered outdoor seating area with a view of the mountain. The rooms was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The restaurant on the property has an exceptional view of the mountain. It appears to be designed to offer a view from every table in the dining area. I liked this hotel.
