Reviews

We love this place.

by Jay S

This is my fourth year tagging along with friends who have been skiing here for more than 20 years! I can't say enough about how much we love Afterglow. Pete and Gail and great - pleasant and responsive. The cabins are just right - not too fancy, not too rustic. We stay in Lakeshore Upper and Lower (16 of us!) and it is great. Beds are comfortable and kitchens have everything we need (we do a lot of cooking). Plenty of room to relax. The ski trails are perfectly groomed and there is a great variety of terrain throughout the quiet and beautiful woods. Also snowshoeing/fat tire bike trails. This year I rented a bike. Pete is a big fat tire guy - he gave me pointers and even went out with me once. Then there's tubing down a fast hill... and a fire with apple cider and snacks... and a hot tub... I could go on.

Cross Country skiing and snowshoeing here was terrific. Well marked, well groomed, accurately mapped, this place is perfect for kids, dogs friendly, groups friendly. Cabins available, a chalet with a lovely picture window over looking a fire pit and private non-motorized boats only lake. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
