The 5 Best All-Inclusive Bahamas Resorts For Families

See recent posts by Tarah Chieffi

Vacations are meant to be restful, fun, and worry free. If your family is headed to the Bahamas, one of the quickest ways to achieve that state of “vacation bliss” is by booking an all-inclusive resort. Rather than hidden fees and unexpected charges, you’ll enjoy meals, drinks, water sports, entertainment, and more – all included in the cost of your stay.

Each of these resorts welcomes children and adults and offers family-friendly activities like swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling. Some even have childcare so you can take part in the resort’s grown-up offerings like theme parties or private dinners. Pack your bags, check your passport, and get ready for the all-inclusive vacation of a lifetime.

Editor’s Note: Due to COVID-19 protocols, certain amenities may be altered or unavailable. Vaccination or testing guidelines may vary based on the resort.

Located just steps from the clear, turquoise waters of Cable Beach, Breezes Resort & Spa caters to adults and families with children ages 14 and up. If your family has already survived the toddler years, you won’t be surrounded by them while on vacation. Rooms have views of the beach, pool, or the surrounding gardens. Patio rooms have outdoor seating or a hammock and beachfront patio rooms come with a beach cabana and cocktail service.

In addition to pools and a fitness center, Breezes’ all-inclusive pricing includes meals, drinks, nightly entertainment, and outdoor activities like tennis, water sports, rock climbing, and a flying trapeze. For an additional fee, you can also indulge in the resort’s full-service seaside spa and offsite tours and excursions.

The Grand Lucayan’s all-inclusive benefits include the standard drinks, dining, and beach activities you can find at other resorts, but they also have unlimited rounds of golf on their championship 18-hole course and weekly champagne brunch, seafood buffet, and happy hour. Dolphin encounters, scuba excursions, deep sea fishing, and other activities are also available for an upcharge.

Bright, airy guest rooms at the Grand Lucayan overlook the resort’s lush Bahamian gardens, sparkling blue marina, or the Caribbean Sea. All rooms have relaxing, furnished balconies and you can choose a suite for additional room to relax.

Fowl Cay Resort – Exumas, Bahamas

Before becoming home to an intimate, luxury resort, Fowl Cay served as an island where the local community kept their chickens (hence the name). The resort has only six villas, each one exquisitely furnished and with beautiful ocean views. When you arrive, your kitchen is already fully stocked with breakfast, lunch, and snack items, all included in the cost of your stay. You also have the option of a chef-prepared picnic lunch and cocktails and dinner at the Hill House restaurant.

Each villa comes complete with its own motorboat (and unlimited gas) so you can explore the area or find a private island where you can eat your picnic lunch. There’s also fishing equipment, snorkel gear, land and water sports, and just about anything else you can think of to keep you busy in and around the water. The rates definitely reflect the luxury and exclusivity of the resort, but it’s hard to put a price on practically having an island to yourself.
