Located in downtown Asheville but near the Blue Ridge Mountains, this hotel offers breathtaking mountain views and is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, art galleries and music venues. Pets are truly welcome at this hotel at no additional charge. Guests can walk dogs on the rooftop path which has artificial turf and there is a dog park within about three miles. A pet bed, treats and bowls are also provided to pet families. Camp Aloft is perfect for kids ages 2 to 12, who will receive a goodie back upon check in, kid-sized mattress and a rooftop Splash pool. The guestrooms and suites feature king and two queen beds, a mini-fridge, free bottled water and complimentary Wi-Fi access which makes staying connected to work and home convenient for the whole family. While there is no onsite dining at this hotel, there is a cocktail lounge and bar that features a pool table. There is covered parking for a fee and check in is at 3 p.m, while check out is at noon.

We stayed at this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend. The staff was pleasant and very helpful as it was our first trip to Asheville. We didn't know in advance that this was a dog friendly hotel but we love dogs so it didn't bother us. Our room was spotless. A lot of the time I find dog hair in unsuspecting places when I happen upon a pet friendly hotel. This was immaculate. Ask for a room facing away from town. Our view was of the street. The other side of the hotel faces a beautiful mountain view of the Blue Ridge. Easy to walk to all parts of town from this location. Parking is $10/ day for staying at the hotel which is great. The parking garage is tight, as most are in Asheville. Our sedan fit fine but I can see a larger vehicle struggling.
I’ve travelled to Asheville 4x in the past 6 mos and stayed at the Aloft for 3 trips. While I’m a Marriott member and look for brands under that rewards umbrella - this one won my heart. Location is awesome - lots of great restaurants within walking distance. I’ve sampled quite a few and will review them separately.
I’m a dog lover and owner so it’s nice to see some four-legends while I’m on business trips. The Aloft brings this to a new level by hosting a rescue dog in the lobby! You can take it for walks inside the hotel and nothing says home-away-from-home like having a pup sit with you in a chair while you enjoy a glass of wine.
The bartenders are friendly and attentive and the food available - while not a big menu - is good. Perfect after a long day at the office. And the outdoor space is lovely - when the weather is good the patio is a super place to relax (and yes you can bring the rescue pup out there too).
The rooms are clean and spacious - some with incredible views of the Smokey Mountains. I see an awesome pool but have yet to partake.
Morning lobby coffee is warm and fresh and there’s a Starbucks kiosk as well with good breakfast choices.
I would happily stay here on vacation (if I can ever sneak a non-work trip in).
