We’re frequent visitors to St. Louis as we schedule appointments at Barnes Hospital/Washington University about every 3 - 6 months. We also enjoy our stays at boutique hotels, and we especially enjoyed discovering the Angad Arts Hotel this month. From Forest Park it took about 8 minutes to arrive and the hotel is right next door to Powell Symphony Hall and just a few steps away from the Fox Theatre on Grand Avenue. Valet parking is offered and our car was parked in a very secure gated lot. Checking in was quick at desks on the 12th floor and we were treated to a surprising complimentary upgrade by our lovely concierges. Our ‘red room’ on the 10th floor included a luxurious king-size bed and an adjoining living room/kitchenette/dining area that included a minibar, microwave, keurig coffee machine, dishes/cups/cutlery. It was a terrific set up with a comfortable plush couch and t.v. in the living area and another large-screen tv in the bedroom. The bathroom is gorgeous; walk in shower, lovely scented soap dispensers attached and refilled as necessary. Even though it was hard to leave our room we made it to the 12th floor bar and experienced one of the best views of downtown St. Louis and the arch. Our drinks were great, the seating very comfortable inside the bar and it was hard to make ourselves leave for dinner. On to the 1st floor in the most private elevators that were operated by our room keys! We received the best service and food at the Grand Tavern by David Burke. Our host and waitress were so personable we wished we could have invited them to sit down with us! Overall, this hotel provides 5-star service at affordable prices. We will be definitely be back! And a particular thanks to the staff at the ‘front’ desk that graciously provided me with special information about surrounding art venues and gallery walks. Your friendliness was so appreciated and thank you for a memorable visit!.
From the moment I entered the building, the staff was ultra friendly and accomodating. The room was spectacular and the service as well. I absolutely loved my stay and will stay there again in a heartbeat if I'm ever in town again. Do yourself and service and patronize this wonderful hotel.
