There are three different cabins to rent at Antero Hot Springs, and this is definitively a place for families. The Cottonwood Cabin has a private soaking pool on patio, a two-level cabin that includes a five-step staircase connecting the upstairs living room and bedroom to the downstairs kitchen, bath and bedroom. The Cabin sits on a meadow along the creek for great wildlife viewing. This cabin sleeps four people maximum. Included are shower, microwave, electric range, gas grill, firewood October to April and a fully equipped kitchen. The hot spring pool is spring-fed and flows constantly. Please note the following from the owners about the hot springs pool. “The pool is drained, washed and refilled between guests. (Depending on spring flow, the pool may not be totally full upon arrival, but you can certainly soak! The pool should be full by 4 p.m.) The hot water runs continually to ensure you have the purest, most beautiful water for your soaking pleasure.”
Another option is the Hortense, which has three bedrooms with queen beds in each, a fully equipped kitchen, sitting porch and great room.
The Colorado Trail is 100 feet from the front door. This cabin sleeps six people max and has all the same amenities as the Cottonwood Cabin.
The other cabin is the Chalk Cliffs Chalet that sleeps up to 10 people, and comes fully equipped with a TV/media center, dishes, towels and linens. The 1,900-square-foot mountain chalet has a telephone, stereo, satellite television, VCR, DVD and barbecue grill. There are three bedrooms in the combination of three queens, two doubles and two futons. There are also two and a half bathrooms.

a nice place for our small family reunion... great...games, fireplace, private pool! lovely all around. Close to Buena Vista...my favorite Colorado town for shopping and hiking. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in the historic cabin with some modern touches.
I grew up in CO, but this was my first time at Antero. We stayed in Cottonwood Cabin.
*135 degree hot spring water coming into the soaking tub
*Well-stocked (sharp knives, good pans and pots, salt, pepper, a nice grill...)
*No shade (I wish they had something over the picnic table, it was HOT)
*Owners were not very friendly
Would I return? Yep.
